Hi Frank - It's encouraging to see the technology in its first publicly-known mainstream use. Progress on quantum cryptography has been faster than anticipated. Usable distances are still relatively short, but becoming greater. One wonders how long it will take to achieve trans-oceanic distances, or if it will prove possible without repeaters. What effect will splices have, in the event of cable repairs? --- Amazing, really. The commercialization of entanglement. Jim
