But, that is where you go off into the weeds.

There isn't any evidence of this going on.

Give it a break, i-node. All of the cases were decades in the past. And the further from local elections, the further in the past they are. Even then, most of them required the ruling party to cover up and make it happen.

These days, that'd be the Republicans.
