ACORN is required by law in most places to turn in all the registrations it collects. I don't think these laws are bad, by the way. Given the number of Republican paid groups who do the same thing and get nailed for weeding out Democratic applications, you can be pretty sure that ACORN workers would do the same thing. They try to flag ones they think are bogus. Probably how Mickey got busted. They also try to fire those who do bogus registrations.
