There were more "independents" polled than republicans...lol


That's because Republicans are a dying breed. What is Bush's approval rating down to....8%? On the West coast no one admits to being a Republican any more. Sorry.

This is where the liberal polls (CBS/NYT/Newsday/CNN, etc.) get one last chance to make the outcome exactly what they want it to be. They can go back in and draw additional samples containing, for example, all blacks to bring the sample percentage into alignment with some predetermined "norm". They manipulate the shit out of these things.

Their job, after all, is to get readers, and if showing one candidate or the other ahead does that, they have no hesitation in manipulating the data.
