Lee Atwater invented the type of media manipulation that Karl Rove has perfected. He, for example, got Reagan to pull off the invasion of Grenada stunt just as a distraction. The Grenada incident is frequently cited as the reason that nationalists like Chavez of Venezuela and Moralez of Bolivia have gained power on an anti-invasion platform. TP
