"... we are on the same page. what say you to gold mining shares?"

I have been investing in them since ~2000, and have done well. In the last year or so I have focused on junior producers or near producers that are well managed and fully financed to production. Country risk is a serious issue, but still, I am invested in Tanzania, Kazakstan and Bolivia*, as well as Mexico, the US and Canada. More and more in mining I am seeing management rising in my estimation as a first among equals that make for success.

I ran this article by a well informed/positioned manager in Bolivia and he commented that "this person was obviously in the know."
