albert - Re: "intel is sued by one more company "

Yaeh - another carpet bombing suit - PictureTel and CompressionLabs are being sued as well.

Thank goodness AMD has very few products - they only get shareholder suits instead of patent infringement suits.

Albert; Is this one of those litigation based patents?, nothing new but since the incredibly overloaded patent examiners granted it they can sue and get a settlement for equivalent costs to Intel(who signs a licence) and then they pursue another. Unless Intel fights it to the bitter end over the next 10 years.
I read that if you cloak a patent on a commonplace public domain concept in 'patentese' you can often get it granted, and then you go after the legions of those using it. Picking a weak settler first to get a precedent.

The <GGG> in that post makes me think this is the case.

Albert,
Your previous reply to me seems to have been deleted for some
strange reason..hmmmm

Anyway thanks for your response. I was hoping you would respond that
way. When you lied about another, that person responded with
demands for proof, which you have always ignored. When someone lied
about you, and I freely admit what I said was untrue, you responded
with a bigger lie. This speaks volumes about both you and Paul. Thanks
for clearing up any remaining doubts anyone may have had about your
character. As if there really was any question.

Your pal,
EP
