Yes, sentiment is definitely not an exact timing tool- but there are no perfect ones that I have discovered.

This looks very similar to the 1987 panic, so far. Panic down, panic up, re-test a couple of days later,
a 2nd recovery, and then a final retest in December before it finally took off for good.

Nothing ever repeats exactly, however- and there are also alot of similarities to 1930-31,
and that did not turn out nearly as well.
