Obama has moved into a comfortable 4-6% average lead in the VA polls lately. This state splits between the downstate small town areas and the huge suburbs around DC, which are heavily pro-Obama now.

If McCain had been the independent maverick that he was in 2000, he could have run close here. Not now. There is also a landslide Senate seat result coming for ex-governor Mark Warner; I expect a lot of people will simply vote straight Democratic in my area, where Obama yard signs are 5-1 or more compared to McCain signs.
