Cap Lock Kid re:["HNU on the TSX hit a 52wk low.
Gas is way too cheap here. I have started nibbling
here too. Check out TCK.b on TSX as well. Talk about
bargain with their takover of FDG.UN - any thoughts?"]

Thanks... great suggestions.

Teck Cominco is now throwing off a 7% dividend. Now $13
down from $50 and as you pointed out, they just bought
Fording Coal.

If the world does not end in the next 6 months...
we are seeing fleeting values that will not last.

The problem is cash.

Natural resource and commodity funds are getting crushed.

Mass redemptions, especially given the broad market meltdowns.

This is one of the reasons I've pounded the table on the
necessity of hedging... being short "something" if you're
long "anything."

I'm banking half of my short profits, and pouring the other
half into scaling into resource & commodity stocks.

And now, we're finally getting deep value re-entry opps
in stocks and sectors that had run away from us earlier.

I'm back re-entering the oilpatch for the first time in
many years. Much of that due to the opportunity that gold
and pm's offered, but now, due to deep values we're seeing,
especially in the nat gas E&P's.

Good Luck and thanks for the heads up on TCK.
