Yep, can't wait any longer. If they come back less than what we are going to pay for the roof, we'll take it up with the insurance board. The adjuster met with our contractor when the adjuster first came out to assess the damages. Our contractor quoted us the going rate for the type of shingles he was going to use as well as his price for labour. The adjuster said it was within their guidelines. What I don't understand is why in the world, when we had 10 days of gorgeous weather and the roofers, why they told us to wait.

So far as I'm concerned, the insurance company should pay to remediate this last round of water that came in the closed up house. There is no a/c as they took a hit, half the house doesn't have electricity and I can't stay there 24/7 with the doors and windows to ventilate the house.
