It isn't spin. Sadly, McCain's campaign underestimated the Obaman--as Hilary did at first--and fell into his trap. The difference between the negativity that I am seeing--and this is with a bias for McCain--is McCain's ads are personal attacks and the Obaman's are attacks on McCain's alleged plan. Personal attacks are dirty--period. When that is all you show, most voters pick up on it--and they have.Wallace blamed a double standard in the media which highlights any potentially negative mention of Obama’s race while ignoring attacks against Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s gender. He shouldn't be whining about something that was expected. The media is pro-Obaman--and McCain's campaign should have prepared for it and had a strategy to counter it. They don't have a strategy--except for wallowing in their mistakes. Palin's gender was an asset. Instead of using it, McCain's campaign put her in a locked closet and didn't let her out.But Wallace said that no matter the tack taken by the McCain campaign in pushing its message, its efforts have so far been futile. Pushing McCain's message? Where at? In a town hall meeting in Podunk with limited coverage? McCain is a hero, a gentleman, and believable. They had the type of guy that would have excelled at talking to the public through ads. One on one with those viewing the ads. One issue at a time; one discussion of the issue; one plan to make things better. Instead, they show us a bunch of democrats in Congress that most people cannot identify. McCain's campaign message--if that is what we are to call it--has been incoherent. “Well, look, it's like running against God,” Wallace said. “You know, the media has anointed [Obama]. Many, many places in the media, present company excluded, and he's got more money. He opted out of public funds. No one cares about that.” The Obaman isn't any god. McCain's campaign is run by incompetents and whiners.
