"Free" as in speech means you have the option, the choice to do it. No one has to pay for your right to speak freely.

"Free" as in beer means someone is paying for a benefit you are getting. Beer, car, home, or even health care, they're all entitlements.

It's important to point out the difference between the two meanings of the word "free." Otherwise, entitlements get confused with rights, which is what Obama is doing (though he certainly wasn't the first one to do so).


I see. Let me ask? Is war an entitlement, or is it a choice?
