RNC out of Wisconsin, Maine; focuses on red states By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer 51 minutes ago The Republican National Committee is halting presidential ads in Wisconsin and Maine, turning its attention primarily to usually Republican states where GOP nominee John McCain shows signs of faltering. The party's independent ad operation is doubling its budget to about $10 million and focusing on crucial states such as Colorado, Missouri, Indiana and Virginia where Democrat Barack Obama has established a foothold, according a Republican strategist familiar with presidential ad placements. Wow....both Palin and McCain were just campaigning in the state. I guess this is a very fluid situation that can change from one day to the next. I never understood why they thought WI was in play. In a Dem year, WI is likely to go Dem. I understand why they are still in MN....its because of Norm Coleman but I think even MN is a lost cause for McCain.
