I thought McCain edged it, but since I listened to the debate on radio, I usually have a different reaction to the focus groups, who react more to visuals. I thought Dick Morris had a good point: that John McCain laid the groundwork on "Joe the Plumber" that would allow him to hammer Obama on taxes.
