I remember the gap well, but as time went on I had more doubts about it being filled. I recently reviewed the charts of some of the financials that fell over 90% - and low and behold they had gaps at the low levels that they currently trade at. This renewed my interest in the Dow gap in the 2550 level. I've heard some traders say we may have made a short term bottom. If we follow the 1929-32 market, then partially recovery until mid 2009 leading to false sense of security, followed by stairstep down with huge subsequent losses until 2011, then doubling (from much lower level)by 2012. Obviously no two time periods are identical, I think gap will be filled but it will take time. BWDIK
