Actually, the election of Reagan was when the GOPwingers first began to get the working 'man' to vote against himself! Too bad the energy policies Carter wanted didn't take hold due to Reagan's political operatives pushing anti-welfare and dividing the 'working man' against 'himself' so Reagan could win an 'angry white male vote.' Ironically, today, it's those Carter's energy policies that would help tremendously; whereas, the GOPwinger in current standing is now bailing out financiers instead of women on welfare! And the men are still somewhat confused although they're now beginning to understand Obama has a point and could well make sense for the future.
