Peter, you are correct in part to what you say. The reason insiders bought was because this company was about to have a substantial secondary offering that would have given a lot of speculative firepower behind the company. It didn't happen because they got caught overhyping the company and so the question now remains, "What is left"?

It is hard to see much left other than a company that could have made it failing miserably. Hype is all that is left to keep anyone holding this up at 1 1/2. Vague promises of licensing, etc. It may well happen. The problem is that for anyone doing due diligence, what is available to judge the company from? Due diligence shuts out everyone but gamblers in this stock. No public or semi-private information leaked can be trusted. You can't even trust the public press releases. Now that is pathetic.

Peter, I'd like to believe the key problem was market related. True, the VOD market never emerged, but most investors knew from industry studies that would be a slow take-off. But Nuko promoted its product as video in an ATM multiplexer, and there are several successful players in that market, nn, yuri, asnd, etc. The only technology Nuko really ever had was a simple codec. They lied about their sales prospects in order to attract investor's money. I was sceptical early, now nobody believes them. It's pretty sad.
