Seems likely that Romney will step up after the election and try to become the leader of the right. His concession speech to CPAC was all about throwing red meat to the activist right. Plus he has money, organization, contacts, the whole shebang.

It would be interesting to see him run against Palin in the 2012 primary. I doubt she would hold up to a direct assault from a fellow Republican very well.
