That was my understanding.
As usual, I am fighting to stay afloat reading the discussion.

Are the taxes on Joe taken AFTER his expenses and payroll, etc, and does that mean his profits are 250K and are his alone? Like a salary? Only in the company name? Which is Joe's?

As usual you've shifted the terms of the debate so we are talking about different things.

Of course you'd say that, "as usual." I posed the question this time and I've stuck with it. Your addressing something other than the question I posed does not equate to me shifting the terms of the debate. The topic was and still is "spreading the wealth" as I framed it.

My guess is Obama wasn't talking about welfare but about getting jobs for people, building infrastructure (jobs), improving education (jobs), etc. So his use of the term "spreading it around" is in that context.

Perhaps, but if you disagreed with my usage of the term, about which I was clear, you could have said so up front rather than wander down some garden path and then claim I've shifted the terms of the debate.
