FOr me, Joe got me thinking about that issue of redistribution which I've always disliked, but I sidetracked when I realized how little I understood small businesses.

The conflict for me is that I'm not comfortable with being either egalitarian nor libertarian, but some blending of the two. The extremes seem superficial to me to some degree- contrived, really impossible. So while Joe may encapsulate the debate between the two- my inner debate is trying to figure out if there aren't times when my normal libertarian tendencies might need to take a backseat to the egalitarian for a while to regain balance. I suppose it's a greater good kind of thing.

If the whole country is feeling pain, it may very well tilt toward Rawls for a while.
