The difference is, that one of us is supporting a smear, and the other isn't. Without much evidence, since you won't accept evidence from conservatives) the default assumption should be against a charge of pandering to racists.

And in this case there is evidence against the charge (not that there should be a need for such evidence), its just evidence you refuse to accept since it comes from a conservative.
