You don't have to have a plumbing license in the Sate of Ohio, he may not be in the incorporated part of Toledo that does. At any rate you don't have to have one, only the plumbers doing the work need that. You don't even need a contractor's license, you just need to appoint someone that has one in upper management, at any rate they are easy to get.

But when it comes right down to it, I wouldn't be surprised this is a false story, I would believe Joe the plumber over any journalist, left or right leaning.
