You could be right. I would still disagree with the idea that OSHA serves no function other than to raise costs for businesses, as Sober declared.

I've worked in some chemical plants that were pretty dangerous places. There was one that manufactured uranium-enriched hydroflouric acid. When I first heard that was what they made, I immediately asked, "What the hell do they use that for? To clean the rods in nuclear power plants?" Turns out that's exactly what it's used for.

Do you think the workers at a plant that manufacturers such a product benefit from having government oversight regarding safety? I'm guessing they do. And I'll bet Sober wouldn't set foot in such a plant if he didn't know that some entity that didn't have a profit motive was keeping an eye on things.
