HMSY-Edgar Online SEC Filing Sep 15 1997 Form 10-Q for HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS INC filed on Sep 15 1997 SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20549 FORM 10-Q On May 28, 1997, the Board of Directors authorized the Company to repurchase such number of shares of its common stock that have an aggregate purchase price not in excess of $10,000,000. The Company may repurchase these shares from time to time on the open market or in negotiated transactions at prices deemed appropriate by the Company. Repurchased shares will be deposited in the Company's treasury and used for general corporate purposes. Through July 31, 1997, the Company had repurchased in the open market 237,500 shares, for an aggregate purchase price of $1,258,000. AND In July 1997, the Company acquired substantially all the assets of the subsidiaries of GHS, Inc.
