Well, it might surprise you but as of today I am still going to hold my nose and vote for McCain. I can't believe he selected Palin and is still trying to tell us she is qualified (after all the arguments that Obama is unqualified). I think here role on the ticket is an absolute disgrace.

I'm not looking for an argument. I know many of you think she is absolutely fabulous. Fine. I just hope McCain, if elected, can live four years.

I do not welcome the idea of the democrats being in charge of everything for the next four years, thus my vote. It is due to no love for McCain, who i believe is no more conservative than Obama...and a lousy populist to boot.

I do hope the regular posters on this thread realize the average voter feels completely hosed by the republican party over the past eight years. All this talk about the average guy not understanding what is at stake or what the candidates stand for...

Just remember what the republicans promised that voter before:

Smaller government (failed)
Fiscal Integrity (double failed)
Less federal government (failed many times over - See: no child left behind and medicare part D).
Caution in foreign involvements (failed)...See: Bush promises in 1990.
Honest govenrment (failed, failed, failed).

So please don't wonder why the average middle of the road guy is not willing to buy the republican line yet again. He or she may be sorry for leaning democratic but the republicans certainly can't claim they weren't given a chance to win those hearts and minds. They blew it...maybe for a decade to come.

The Ron Paul revolution is alive and well. Some new candidate will pick up the mantle next time around. Conservative values aren't dead...just lost in the Bush Republican agendae.
