A very ugly, and plausible, scenario. The thought of Pelosi, Reid and the One calling every shot is downright scary.

It's going to take trillions to fix this. Our financial system was toasted NOT by borrowers but by lenders that turned a blind eye to credit worthiness and risk. I want them jailed and tortured. Now we have f***heads that are going on TV trying to proclaim they had nothing to do with it - BS! Prepare for an 8x8 because over the next two years the public outcry from the damage is going to force the Govt. to take action. If Martha Stewart went to jail these guys shout be doing life sentences

I share your pessimism.

I was just in Liberal Latteland (Seattle and environs) and the pull for Obama there is palpable. Went to the Pike Place Market and they're selling Obama bobblehead dolls, Obama action figures, yard signs everywhere. The local public radio shows are filled with enthused gushing about what a great place the world will be once The One is elected.

On another note, the Rasmussen Daily Tracking poll numbers finally moved off 50% The One, 45% McPalin, where they'd been stuck the past week. Bad news is the move is in The One's direction. As of this morning, it's now 51% The One, 45% McPalin.

Wish it wasn't so early. I'd get a drink.
