First you attack Palin, and now you attack joe the plummer, both scare obama... joe is an ordinary citizen who asked a legitimate question, it's not about him, it's about obama's ridiculous response, joe's personal life in no one's business... obama's ridiculous response exposed obama for what he is, a liberal socialist, and it caught him with his pants down... do you have anything important to offer or is it all about more smearing of an ordinary citizen? Is that the level of your political argument again McCain? To smear the guy who asked a legitimate question and exposed obama in the process? Is that really news or just cheap gossip and a cheap shot at a private citizen who asked a question that exposed obama?

__________

Wait a doggone minute, GZ. Get off your high horse. It was John McCain who first brought Joe the Plumber to the American eye. In the first two minutes of the debate wednesday night. Joe's earlier conversation with Obama was of no interest to anyone but the two speakers until John McCain mentioned Joe 19 times. McCain had attributed many "facts" to Joe's situation; facts that turned out to be wrong...or misstated. Because JOHN MCCAIN brought Joe into the national spotlight, and draped him in financial facts that were used on a national debate, the actual impact of either candidate's policies on the REAL Joe was then of national interest.

Now, Joe the Plumber could have withdrawn. He could have said to the mcCain campaign: "don't mention me. Don't put me in the debate. Don't publicize my discussion with Senator Obama.

Did Joe do that? No...Joe initially enjoyed the attention. he went on the national news shows willingly. he gave an exclusive to Diane Sawyer on ABC. He restated many of the "facts" that McCain had attributed to him.

Well, then he became legitimate national news. He had injected himself (or the self he wanted portrayed) into the spotlight.

Trouble was, Joe was not the Joe he claimed. He isn't a licensed plumber. He hasn't paid the taxes he already owes, much less the taxes he thinks he might somday owe under Obama's plan. He lied on his facebook page about his qualifications.

So, say it ain't so Joe. Joe and John Mc brought this on themselves.

And please, step back from your high horse just a little...<g>
