Why would Colin Powell be the Secretary of Defense? He was the Secretary of State, the highest rank among cabinet members. The question is why he agreed to be interviewed by Brokaw on Meet the Press and that the news is all over the air waves. He must have something important to say, otherwise, viewers would feel cheated. My take is that he is going to endorse McCain, per order by the Republican party leaders, just like McCain got the marching order to select Palin.
