I agree...and Powell has recently become a Partner of the legendary Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins -- and the top partner in Kleiner is John Doer...Mr. Doer was an early investor in franchise companies like Amazon and Google...and Doer is a BIG Obama supporter...sometimes you gotta connect the dots.

And Colin Powell respects Obama for seeking him out early on for advice...Powell is very calm and confident and in some ways could really connect with the type of leader Obama is.

Yet, as much as this endorsement will help Senator Obama, in the long run it may well do much more for General Powell than for Obama...Powell could have influence on Obama's foreign policy decisions and rehabilitate his reputation at the same time. Deep down inside Colin Powell must know that endorsing Obama is the "right thing to do", for this country and for our allies all around the world.

Powell is a defeated man, and his demeanor shows that. He wants to die as a Republican and the only way to do that is to appease the party leaders who gave him the marching order to endorse McCain. As a good soldier, he said: "Yes, Sir".
