"More than 100,000 U.S. deaths are caused by excessive alcohol consumption each year. Direct and indirect causes of death include drunk driving, cirrhosis of the liver, falls, cancer, and stroke."

This does not include the number of divorces, broken homes and mental problems caused to immediate family members who live with active alcoholics.

Alcohol, since man has learned to brew alcohol has been a never ending problem for society. Yet, there is no law against buying alcohol versus possible fines and imprisonment for illegal use of other drugs. Apparently, the law givers and their affinity for booze is the main cause of not having laws against the sale and use of this dangerous drug.
