They want access to the list. That's what it is about. Then they can go through them and search for every single lame excuse to disenfranchise voters. Say a guy's drivers license gives his name as James C Randolph. If the voter registration says James Randolph, according to the republican party he should not be allowed to vote. Say the guy gets his name exactly the same but his drivers license says he lives on East 10th Street. If Mr Randolph puts down on his voters registration that he lives on E 10th St, he should be disallowed to vote, according to republican operatives. This is the type of total BS that the republican party is up to these days. It's not about finding voter fraud as much as it's about finding lame excuses to be able to justify caging voters off of the voting registration lists. The republicans know that the more people vote, the less chance they have of winning and so they take up cheap tricks to take democratic voters off of the voters lists. All of this is also done with NO DISCLOSURE, so that the person who has registered to vote thinks everything is ok until they get to the polling place and no one can find their name on the list. By this time it is too late to do anything about it. This is going to happen to tens of thousands of voters this year, thanks to the republicans. Anyone who doesn't believe me can do their own google search for "republican caging".
