Maybe they want to keep up a brave offensive front and not look like they have conceded anything. But everyone watching the progress of the polls knows that McCain's only real hope is to hold the Bush 2004 states and squeak in like GWB did both times. Iowa is on the must-keep list, but the rest are academic compared to McCain running clearly behind in CO, NM, VA and FL, not to mention the remaining toss-ups not on that list. Iowa plus any one of those equals an Obama win. And Obama is up by an average 11 points in Iowa polls now.

Obama is solid everywhere he should be solid. He's solid in places he shouldn't be solid. Johnny Mac is in big trouble.
They're in panic mode cuz nothing works.
