That's why I felt comfortable buying some stock last week, I remember what it was like when Clinton/Gore came in. Don't recall how the market reacted but people had that "breath of fresh air" feeling, this is going to be 10x that.

Don't remember how it was when Reagan came in but I did see him speak in 1979, very impromptu in front of maybe 100 students on a campus yard ("hey everybody Reagan is going to be here in a half hour!"), the security precautions would probably seem laughable by today's standards.

Having an unpopular second term president, a congress that is loathed, and a bad economy just wears people down, imo people really want something, anything, to make them feel hopeful.
