I'm tempted to short GLD.

didn't you once say that until this bear market is over, you would never go long the garbage you've done well shorting and you'd never short energy/gold, etc.?

if you think there is a disparity between gld and the miners, why not buy the miners?

I look for a modest drop in GLD/POG, perhaps to 750. But the stocks are at or very near the bottom. Normally stocks outperform metal at the bottom anyway. If you were gonna short one or the other, I'd short the metal and perhaps hedge by buying the stocks (particularly beaten down big caps, GG/ABX/NEM).
