I'm down 19% YTD. I've got a 60/40 stock/bond split, and I'm still down significantly. My bond side had a problem because I was in SWYPX / SWYSX, which you may have heard about. It's the Schwab short term bond fund that lost 30% YTD. How do you lose 30% in a short term bond fund??? Seems impossible doesn't it? Got to ask Schwab about that. I'm not too happy about it. So, Yes, I'm not doing too well this year. Sucks to be me. -4%, you are very lucky. Consider yourself blessed.
