Good points... I think a BIG part of my view on Powell will be what he does tomorrow! If he can endorse Obama then he can change... and no doubt may eventually admit the mistakes that were made (Iraq)??

Time will tell.. but I agree, Obama doesn't need his endorsement.

>>I guess I don't have the respect for Powell that a lot of people do. I don't think he has a high level of integrity as evidenced by what he said in front of the UN right before the Iraq war and his vouching for Ted Stevens' integrity last week in court. So whom he endorses doesn't mean a lot to me. I still believe he will endorse McCain if he endorses anyone.....but if he endorses Obama, it can't hurt.<<

tejek, I agree with you 100%.

You know why he could never run for president? It was becasue he knows the Republican party is bigoted and he could never defend that as a black man running for president.

As I told zeta, if he endorses Obama I will forgive him al his sins. His son also was involved in slimey stuff at the FCC?.

Saw W. tonight. Powell was portrayed as a man of principle, standing up to Chaney, Rumsfeld, etc. for the first part of the movie. But he then sold out his principles and making the case for war in Iraq in the UN speech.

I can't imagine NBC would can their scheduled guests and give Powell the whole hour if he did not tell them, or at least imply, an endorsement. I do think it will be Obama, but an endorsement of McCain would not totally surprise me. It airs here at 10 on one NBC station and 1030 on the other. Does anyone know what time they actually tape? I'm sure once it is taped, the word will get out even before it airs.
