GM will be able to make a nice electric car after they emerge from bankruptcy with their costs reduced.

Those in government can make a nice speech when the first electric car rolls off the assembly line.

The car company Neanderthal execs do not deserve bailing out, but peeps need jobs fast. The government is also culpable for giving tax credits on large vehicles and not imposing higher mileage standards. But it is UFB that these companies were operating without a contingency plan for high oil prices.
