Ha.......spent a lot at the Octoberfest. Sat with the Chicken Dance Man ( he was dressed as a frau ) at the Muchin Beer Garten and he taught us a traditional German toast. When we felt sufficiently versed, we all did a rousing toast to Octoberfest.

After a few glasses of Alpine Amber and a good brat.....we were all in quite a good mood.

Shopping followed and a good time was had by all.

JOE AND SARAH VS OBAMACRON
By Judith A. Klinghoffer (bio)

It should be the other way around. Aristocratic Republicans should belittle simple decent folks like Sarah and Joe and Socialist Democrats should praise them. But the opposite is true and not only in America. Who can forget a grocer’s daughter called Margaret Thatcher? Just last month a contest of this kind took place in Israel in the primary contest between Sarah Livni and Shaul Mofaz and it is happening here now.

Once again we are in the midst of a pitch battle between self assured, self sufficient authentic working/middle class leaders and an elite (Marxist amongst them prefer the term vanguard) which insists on its right to represent that class. That is the reason Joe the plumber went global.

. . . it is not just Americans who are talking incessantly about Mr. Wurzelbacher. The entire world is: “Joe the Plumber, the star of the internet,” writes France’s L’Express, “Joe the Plumber bursts into the campain,” reads the headline of Spain’s daily El Pais and Sweden’s Svenska Dagbladet asks “Who is Joe the Plumber?” But the best international story on JtP clearly comes from Germany’s Tagesspiegel, which starts its nice tongue-in-cheek article with the English headline “The Wurzelbacher Conspiracy.”

Why? Because the working/middle class, they argue, do not know what it good for them. The truth? The elite is protecting their turf. Running organizations, governments and NGOs is their bread and butter, literally. And they will do anything to destroy those who challenge their exclusive rights to that kind of jobs. On this issue left and right agree.

Sarah Palin and Joe the plumber are their Rorschach Test.

Will the people stand in defense of their own? Well, they are coming out for Sarah. GOP’s new star rocks Verizon Yes, she fan fill a stadium usually reserved for rock stars.
