Allen,

<< it appears to be that the leftists were mostly just booing and turning their thumbs down.>>

It would seem that for most, they responded in a perfectly reasonable manner with the thumbs down sign or booing. I don't have a problem with the way most people responded. But how do we know the people who were responding were leftists?

I think both sides were looking for a reaction to put on tape and got one(I am talking about this piece of video and the one piece outside the McCain rally). It would be one thing to just protest in a supposedly hostile environment. It is another to do it but tape the reaction in my opinion. I think you will find the potential for this type of reaction to most minority views except when the national or mainstream media show up. People tend to behave better when they feel their behavior will be broadcast across the evening news. It helps them control their baser instincts.

In todays day and age, I guess the moral of the story is to behave in public as if their is always a camera around. Don't do anything that you would be embarrassed about being displayed on you tube at some point in time.

Neal

OK, I stopped mid-post and found it. But it doesn't include the handy onscreen transcript, so comparing comments might be difficult. Instead, it includes editorial comments. In any case, it appears to be that the leftists were mostly just booing and turning their thumbs down.

That's what I've seen as well. Though it would be hard to call crowds at Obama's campaigns "leftists." My guess is they are all sorts of things, given the diversity. 100k in St. Louis!! 75k in Kansas City!!
