That is the problem with our system. We have grown so accustomed to giveaways that any conservative candidate could never win. That is until the current left destroys whatever survives.

The pendulum was thought to have been swinging evening from left to right etc, however, that is not the case. The actual pivot holding the pendulum has been dragged left with each full swing.
