I remember a lot of those discussions- and do you remember this? Message 21789203 Seems to me Obama has pretty much made those things the issue in his campaign- which is why many Americans are listening.

Powell really went after the McC campaign for its emphasis on Ayers and for its negative campaigning. And he joins the ranks of Republicans who recognize the poor judgment of the Palin choice. And he did it with such grace and diplomacy. I just saw that some group is starting a drive to get Joe the Plumber to run for office. Can this get any crazier? Powell reminded me what intellectual discipline and integrity mean. This is not a man trying to remember notes from an index card, or striving to make an audience happy. Color me elitist again. Whether you agree with his conclusions or not, they were clearly and brilliantly presented.
