Yes, blackened fish is becoming quite popular. I cook it a lot. Love it. We do eat raison and banana bread. We do not have sweet potato pie however-lol. Funny story: When I was doing graduate work at the university of Washington we went out to the coutnryside one fall and I bought a whole bunch of different kinds of winter squashes. Then each week I would take a different variety of squash e.g. marble squash and use a pumkin pie recipe and make a squash/pumpkin pie. Here is what I learned. I learned why they use pumpkin and none of the other squashes-lol.
