McCain's basic problem is that he doesn't have support in the Republican party. He may get a good number of independents but there aren't enough of them to matter if you don't have a base.

Palin was a gimme to the right wing, low-info, idiot right wing base. She's such an extremist though that it turns off anyone to the left of Atilla.

If Obama was named Joe Average and was a white, southern Democrat he would be up by 25 pts and this would be all over. An idiot woman (whose husband is supporting Obama) actually said on national TV that she wouldn't vote for him (while winking and smiling) because who his parents were. She really doesn't like his name either. Every time one of these low info idiots gets public airtime, I cringe....we must look like provincial morons to the rest of the world.

Now if everyone had remembered the Bushies in the same say, we wouldn't have had 8 years of massive disaster. Wink, wink.
