The cause of the S&L debacle extended back to FDR. Do you recall Fernand St. Germain (guess which party)? Like this SNAFU, it was a colossal failure of that government Democrats, mostly, have foisted off on us.

The failure of our government schooling, then the Fourth Estate, allow too many to express foolish opinions without understanding.
