Powell, and many others, keep saying that they were decieved into believing that Saddam had WMD by bad intelligence. At the time there was plenty of disenting evidence in the foreign press. Why didn't the Secretary of State read any newspapers outside of Washington? It was clear to many of us that the administration's arguments didn't hold water.

Powell was told by Brit. intel the day before his presentation in front of the UN that it was very likely the info he was about to disclose may not be true at all. In fact, the Brits pleaded with him not to make that presentation. He ignored their pleas.
