I have no way of convincing you differently. But let me try reason, you seem intelligent. The argument I would make is that what has made us strong and will make us strong again is an educated populace. And only an educated populace. Here is what we have. We were the first country to have the best democracy anywhere, ever. Our founding fathers were the best and the brightest in the world. The intelligensia at the time. Jefferson, Franklin, Hamiltion, Adams. Next we had the best piece of land in the world. Mediterainian climate, perfect tmeperature for growing food and working and very rich soil and massive resources. We also had resources up the ying ying. We made a lot of money on slaves working in the in the south. We have done very well because we were the most advanced culture in the world and free from dibilitating wars. A great secular, highly educated country. I would say given the Japanese live on a rock they did better than us with what they had. Why? Education. Same with Israel. Japanese and Jews are the most highly educated people on earth and then the Germans. 1,2,3 economies. Education makes a country strong. And an educated person can do anything, including being an great entrepreneur. The reverse is not necessarily true. We did best during the 50's when we had strong unions and a strong middle class. There will always be enough entrepreneurs as long as the populace is educated. The last eight years have been anti intellectual and look at the mess we are in! We need to vote in the smartest people runing for office, not highly functioning morons as so many are in our congress. And that means they need to know how old the earth is, how many continents there are and how to conceptualize a problem and solution using sequential logic. We need to educate our kids. All of the kids and it should be a Manhatten project. Educate the kids and the entrepreneurs will be there and our country will prosper. Cheers,
