Suppose no "voter" came in to steal an extra vote via the late Linda at all, yet her vote was cast, somehow. This implies partisan vote counters did it. Put false names on the roles, and the door is opened wider for this crime. In this case, the ID check as it is, alone, solves nothing. What if we required a record be kept of scanned ID's at the time of registering and voting, showing they match the issuing source records? Would that keep the total votes from exceeding the actual numbers of people who actually came to vote? Here's a similar problem little doubt, for your perusal: al.com Dan B.
