Powell is a pu$$y! The campaign has been on-going for some twenty months. And now, after six or seven weeks of study of the McCain and Obama political positions, he finally decides that Obama is "the man".

Even Ted Kennedy, a no account scoundrel, had the temerity to announce for Obama way back......before anyone else in his political party.

What is most interesting to me is that Powell always wants to be referred to "General Powell". The last time I checked, the title of Secretary of State was considered of higher stature. Perhaps, he isn't too proud of his tour of duty as DOS-1.

Powell's endorsement of Obama also suggests to me that he didn't really care that the Obama team came out with their "General Betrayus" ad in the NYT a while back. And what about the surge? Apparently, a bad idea since "General" Powell does not like the way the GOP and McCain is handling issues.

This is simply a race endorsement and an effort to revitalize a failed role as Secretary of State.

I haven't verified it but rumor has it that Powell also endorsed Bloomberg (the conservative republican) for Mayor of NYC.

Gotta stay on the "A" list and in the cocktail circuit within the D.C. beltway.

Life is tough when you repeat the same speech for 100K per pop.
