CJ, I see your point, but I don't think Powell is giving McCain any credit or acknowledgement for dealing with, say, the woman who thought Obama was an Arab. That woman, more than anything else, put McCain in a very uncomfortable position.

Well, she managed to unwittingly bring the problem to his front lobe...mccain was silent as long as these attacks were carried out by his proxies, when she put the question to him directly on national TV what else could he do? Meantime his campaign continue to insinuate that obama hobnobs with terrorists and powell called him on it.

Yes, but that's after weeks of negative attacks. And now there are those robocalls which came after that incident with the lady. Have you listened to them? They are worse than anything Palin has said.

Nor do I think Powell is stupid enough to think that Obama isn't knowingly allowing the attack dogs on the left do their thing, starting with the alpha dog himself, Joe Biden. One mention of that from Powell would have been good enough for me.

Is Biden saying that McCain betrayed his country when he was a POW? That would be the equivalent. Is that happening? Every speech that I have heard HRC, Bill C., Obama, Biden et al.....they first praise McCain, his military service and what he endured as a POW.

Maybe Powell sees no difference between "Obama is an Arab" and "Obama by association w/ Ayers is a terrorist." But personally, I also see no difference between "Obama is an Arab" and "Bush is Hitler," the latter spoken by the same people who once considered Powell to be a sell-out.

Yes, but Obama is not saying Bush is Hitler. It would be one thing if McCain was running against me who has said that Bush is like a Hitler....but he's not. He's running against Obama who has said squat about Hitler and Bush.

Bush is way too dumb to be Hitler, but Powell is no less of a sell-out. If Powell had let us know how he regarded Bush in 2004, we might have avoided where we are now.
